Our Player Salem Abdul Rahman of the national team for Chess comes in twentieth place globally

International Grand Master Salem Abdulrahman of our national chess team Achieved a new qualitative achievement for Emirate Sports when he came in twentieth place globally at the end of the world championship for dynamic chess, which was concluded in the German capital Berlin with the participation of 158 players from different countries of the world and a number of world champions, led by current world champion the Norwegian Carlson, former world champions Indian Fssoanathan Anand and Vladimir Kramenk, current World Cup champion Sergei Kariaykin and a number of senior professors of the game and the most powerful players in the list of the International Classification.

Salem and Came in the twentieth place globally with 9.5 points from 15 matches where he achieved 8 wins and three draws with the Indian five times world champion Anand, the Russian World Cup champion Kariaykin and the Russian champion Peter Sfidelr.

Hisham Ali Tahir the technical staff president of the  of the UAE Chess Federation praises the Golden Boy Salem Abdul Rahman for this qualitative achievement stressing that Salem arrived at the degree of technical maturity and accumulated experience that makes him equal to world champions, which qualifies him to achieve more global and continental achievements.

For his part, the President of the Board of Directors of the UAE Chess Federation Adviser Said Muqbali stressed that this global achievement comes three months after crowning the Emarati Salem Abdul Rahman  a champion on the Asian continent in the tournament which was held in the city of Al Ain.
He said that what is achieved by the UAE Chess Federation of successes, whether administrative, technical or organizational leadership is the result of interest in the sector.
And he gave thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God preserve him for the confidence he had in the Emirati Chess.
He stressed that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in the interest of the state and the sport.
Muqbali appreciates the support of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Youth Development and the President of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare of the chess community.
